Jennifer Shine earned her law degree from Campbell University’s Norman Adrian Wiggins School of Law in 1996, and is a proud graduate of the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Prior to joining Vitale Family Law, Jennifer worked as a public defender in Fairfax, Virginia, representing adults accused of serious felonies. It is during this time Jennifer honed her trial skills and developed a desire to work with individuals in crisis who were in need of support and strong representation. After taking time off from the practice of law to raise her children, Jennifer first returned to work for the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer where she managed the contracting and implementation of the NC ABLE Program, a tax-advantaged savings plan for people with disabilities. In 2017, she joined Vitale Family Law and has enjoyed focusing her practice on the complex issues surrounding families and divorce. Jennifer is a Board Certified Specialist in Family Law, and in 2024 was voted “Ones To Watch” by Best Lawyers.
